Rats of Tobruk Membership

First established in 1945 by Tobruk veterans, this association has existed for over 75 years and is still going strong.

Descendants and other relatives of Tobruk veterans are invited to join the Rats of Tobruk Association. By doing this, you will join with like minded people who want to ensure the name and story of the mighty Australian ‘Rats of Tobruk’ are perpetuated.  We are the largest surviving Rat’s association in Australia, and now have over 500 affiliate members from across the country.

Each new member will receive a member’s lapel badge and be sent the bi-monthly Tobruk House News.  All members are welcome to attend the monthly general meeting held at the historic Tobruk House in Albert Park.  These meetings are normally held on the 4th Friday of the month. There are also special functions such as Tobruk Sunday, Anzac Day lunch and Christmas lunch.  Refer to ‘Calendar of Events’ for further information.

The joining fee is currently $30.  In addition, there is an annual membership subscription which is payable on the 1st January each year.  The current subscription fee is also $30.  A total of $60 is to be sent with each membership application.
