What an incredible bagpipe extravaganza was held at Federation Square in Melbourne this week. It was amazing to stand amongst the large good-natured crowd to witness the world record well and truly broken when 374 pipers belted out AC/DC’s, ‘It’s a Long Way to the Top’. Leading the way on stage, resplendent in their Rats of Tobruk Pipes and Drums uniforms, were Kevin Conlon and Les Kenfield who appeared in the original film clip with Bon Scott 50 years ago. They were mobbed by adoring fans after the event eager for a selfie!
